John is a Founder, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC. He is also the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Partnervest Financial Group. He drives the strategic direction and operational performance of the organization, while creating the vision and leading the company in its distribution efforts. John also oversees Elysian’s Marketing and Social Media divisions and produces Elysian’s digital content on its monthly website blog.
With over 25 years of sales distribution experience, John began his career as a National Sales Manager and Senior Vice President for The ING Group. He later became the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Investments, Mutual Funds and Variable Annuities for Transamerica Capital Management. John later joined Vertical Capital Markets Group, LLC as an Executive Vice President and National Sales Manager.
John earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis in Marketing, and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. He maintains FINRA Series 6, 26 and 63 registrations.
Nick is a Founder, Managing Partner and General Counsel for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC. He also serves as General Counsel to Partnervest Financial Group. Nick is a licensed attorney and has been practicing law for 23 years. He is a Founder and Partner of Pinnacle Dispute Resolution Services and the Founding Partner of Georggin & Georggin, a civil litigation law firm in Orange County, California.
His background and experience includes running his own law firm for over 21 years concentrating on complex litigation, class action, public entity defense, and residential/commercial construction cases. During his career, Nick has managed over 1,500 litigated matters in both the trial and appellate courts. He has been designated as class counsel in employment class action cases, recovering more than $140 million for his clients. In addition to his broad litigation experience, Nick has handled a variety of legal matters for both public and private clients, including corporate formation and governance, governmental contracts, complex zoning and eminent domain matters.
Nick earned his Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Western State University College of Law, graduating in December 1993. He was the class Salutatorian, graduating second in his law school class. Nick was an Associate Editor and Lead Articles Editor for the Western State University Law Review and a Legal Research Intern for the late Justice Henry T. Moore, Jr., of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three. He became licensed to practice law in the State of California in June of 1994. He is also admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Court for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California.
Paula is a Founder, Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC. Paula’s prior experience includes over 20 years in the financial services industry, beginning her career as a sales assistant and technical analyst at Paine Webber/UBS. In 2004, she became a wholesaler for Natixis Global Associates covering key regions in the Midwest and garnered instant success within the industry, resulting in her position as Regional Vice President. She continued her ascent with BNY Mellon/Dreyfus as Regional Vice President overseeing the entire Chicago metropolitan area.
Paula has a proven record of delivering exceptional results and providing unparalleled service and expertise to her clients. Having developed a network of invaluable relationships on the east coast, the west coast and in the American heartland, Paula is supremely qualified to market and distribute Elysian's affiliate strategies across the country. Jim is a Partner and Chief Executive Officer for Elysian Management Consulting Services, LLC. He is responsible for the strategic direction, operational execution and overall leadership of EMCS and works closely with clients to deliver industry leading insights and innovative solutions. Jim is also the Chief Executive Officer and President of RDR Sales Consulting, Inc., an organization providing strategic advisory services.
With over 40 years in the financial services industry, Jim has made a lasting impact on his clients with his deep industry knowledge and dynamic leadership style. Heralded for his extraordinary success in the business world, Jim’s expertise is repeatedly sought after by companies worldwide.
Jim’s affinity for working with people developed early. Drafted into the U.S. Army shortly after high school, Jim was chosen from a select few to attend Officer Candidate School. Following a term in Germany, he was honorably discharged and quickly began his career as a retail stockbroker. Jim rapidly ascended as a leader among his colleagues when he took a position with Merrill Lynch and created the firm’s very first Annuity Marketing Unit. A trailblazer in this area, he travelled nationwide bringing product ideas to the firm’s offices and to thousands of brokers. He later began his own Third Party Wholesale Distribution Company and was responsible for hiring and developing internal wholesalers across the nation. Jim then became president of global financial services giant, The ING Annuity Group, overseeing its exponential growth to more than $100 billion in assets.
KENNETH R. HYMAN
Ken serves as the Business and Compliance Consultant for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC and Elysian Private Capital Group, LLC and participates in the direction of oversight of the organization’s compliance programs and operations. He is also the Chief Compliance Officer for Elysian Capital Markets Group, LLC and is responsible for the direction and oversight of the organization’s compliance programs and operations, and participates in product and service development and business planning. Ken is also the Founder, President, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of Partnervest Financial Group, LLC where he is responsible for the organization’s business, financial, compliance and operational affairs. He also serves as President, CEO, Co-Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Management Committee overseeing the STAR™ Asset Management program of Partnervest’s subsidiary Partnervest Advisory Services LLC.
Prior to establishing Partnervest, he was the Senior Executive and Financial Officer for Integral Securities, Inc. (Predecessor of Partnervest Securities Inc.) and Integral Securities Europe Ltd. the regulated entities of software developer Integral Development Corp. (IDC). He was also the Managing Principal and Chief Operating Officer of Mercer Global Securities and the Director of Operations for Mercer Global Advisors, one of the nation’s largest fee-only financial planning and investment management firms. Ken was also the Vice-President of Trading for Associated Financial Group, a financial services company providing support to more than 328 representatives in over 179 branch and satellite offices.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics/ Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 1984. He has been in the financial services industry since 1980. From 2005-2008, he was a Member of FINRA District Committee 2 and served as Chairman in 2007-2008. He is licensed as a Financial Operations Principal, a General Securities Principal, a Municipal Securities Principal, an Options Principal, and a General Securities Representative. Ken maintans FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 27, 53 and 63 registrations.
Peter is a seasoned family office and private equity professional. He is the Chairman of the Board of Palace Investment Company, a real estate investment company and the Managing Partner at Blue Marlin Partners, a direct investment platform for family offices, and Greenfield Capital, a private equity fund focused on lower to middle market healthcare investments.
From 2000 to 2010, Peter served as Chief of Staff for the founding CEO and Chairman Emeritus of America Online, where he oversaw a wide range of activity, including financial management, direct investments, international relations and local and international philanthropy. He also served as senior advisor to the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) for the U.S. Department of State and travelled often to Iraq and the Balkans to advise ICMP on their mission of identifying the missing using state of the art DNA technology.
Peter was the President of Platformix Inc., a Northern Virginia based "start-up" company providing web based applications. He served on the staff of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) for 10 years, four as their CEO. ASLA is a large non-profit association representing more than 15,000 members with an annual budget of more than 10M. He also served as a public relations and marketing consultant to the lawn and garden industry.
Currently, Peter serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Xtone Networks and the National Football Players Association Foundation, as well as on the Board of Advisors for The Business Bank.
Peter is a 1984 graduate of Marquette University.

Kevin is a Capital Partner of Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC and the Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Now Lending, LLC. He oversees all aspects of Legacy’s operations, and specializes in reverse mortgages, hard money lending, bridge financing, non-owner occupied investment properties and emerging market mortgages.
Prior to his transition into lending, Kevin spent the first 20 years of his career as a commodity broker, trainer, team leader and ultimately, running his own brokerage for a number of years.
Kevin has undergraduate degrees in both Business Administration and Economics from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He maintains FINRA Series 3, 6 and 63 registrations, along with Real Estate and multiple MLO licenses.
STEVEN D. SPERLING, ESQ.
Steven is a Capital Partner of Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC and the Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Dispute Resolution, LLC. He has been a licensed attorney and has been practicing law for the past 19 years. Based upon his tenure, Steven has gained extensive negotiating expertise and a keen ability of engaging parties to find a meeting of the minds.
He began his career at The Rodman Group, wherein he was involved with all aspects of a multi-dimensional sports and entertainment company involving a number of well- known professional athletes. Steven’s functions included highly confidential business and legal dealings between the professional athletes and their contracted professional sports teams and corporate sponsors.
Thereafter, Steven sought to diversify his legal background and experience by concentrating on complex litigation, employment wage and hour class action, residential/commercial construction defect cases, personal injury, products liability, and managed healthcare reimbursement litigation. During his career, Steven has successfully managed well over a thousand litigated and arbitrated matters.
Steven earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Law and Society from the University of Southern California, graduating Cum Laude in May of 1991. In 1993, Steven started law school at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and finished his first year in the top 35% of his class. However, the aftermath of the Northridge earthquake brought Steven back to California to assist his family, whereby he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of West Los Angeles, graduating in June 1996. He became licensed to practice in the State of California in June of 1997. He is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the Central District of California.
David Wasson serves as a Strategic Consultant for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC. He provides clients with thought leadership and deep industry knowledge, while delivering strategies and implementation directed at promoting growth.
For over 25 years, David has advised clients in the areas of investment management, finance and direct investments. He began his professional career at Morgan Stanley in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. After a decade of transaction work with Media/Telecom entrepreneurs and Financial Sponsors, David transitioned to Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management practice as a Managing Director and Global Head of the Client Strategy Group which delivered highly tailored asset management solutions to individuals and families.
Upon leaving Morgan Stanley, David became a founding member of the investment partnership, Aetos Capital, LLC, which specializes in absolute return funds, distressed real estate and private equity. He later partnered with Roundbox Advisors and Bienville, where he focused on alternative investments, private equity and venture capital strategies for family offices. OBP364 is the furtherance of David’s work with family offices, start ups and early stage growth companies.
David has served on the boards of several private companies and has been involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors at the national and community level. He is involved in a new initiative, ‘Fun and Games for Good’ which seeks to harness the growth in fantasy sports for the benefit of numerous charities.
Most recently, David has joined the effort at Team IMPACT, a non-profit chartered to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses. Core to the Team IMPACT model is harnessing the power of teamwork by matching these courageous kids as official members of NCAA teams for the duration of their treatment and beyond.
David is a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and American Cultural Studies, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University.
Lisa is a Partner and serves as Chief Financial Officer for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC. She is also the Chief Financial Officer for Partnervest Financial Group. Lisa oversees all aspects of the organization’s accounting and financial matters, including the management of all financial reporting and budgeting, financial statement preparation, internal auditing and accounting processes.
With a focus on detail, Lisa has served in many capacities throughout her personal and professional life. She spent the first part of her career as a senior analyst at Bankers Trust, where she structured cash flow models that, in part, birthed the age of derivatives and collateralized mortgage obligations. She continued her career heading a sophisticated commercial mortgage-backed securities portfolio with Pacific Life before dedicating her time to raising her two children.
Lisa has multiple undergraduate degrees, including bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science, and a minor in Management from the University of California, Irvine. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis in Finance.
Despina is a Partner, Chief Marketing Officer and Associate General Counsel for Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC. She is also the Chief Marketing Officer and Associate General Counsel for Partnervest Financial Group, LLC. Despina has been a licensed attorney for 20 years. She began her professional career as a journalist and television news reporter and following law school, worked with a civil litigation law firm managing a full spectrum of professional negligence, wrongful death and constitutional law matters. Following her relocation from San Diego to Orange County in 1999, Despina worked exclusively on matters involving business litigation, class actions and complex employment and construction defect matters. She has participated in hundreds of mediations during her career, and has a keen ability for resolving conflicts in an efficient and effective manner. She is an owner and managing partner of Georggin & Georggin, a full spectrum civil litigation law firm in Orange County. Despina is also a private mediator with Pinnacle Dispute Resolution Services. As part of her duties with Elysian Capital Holdings, LLC, and coupled with her experience as a journalist, Despina is responsible for the creation, distribution and management of media content for the organization and its affiliates.
Despina graduated from San Diego State University with a major in Journalism, an emphasis in Radio / Television News, and a minor in Political Science. She earned her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law, receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for both Trial Practice and Mediation. She became licensed to practice law in the State of California in June 1996.
Kelly is the Director of Communications and Social Media for Elysian Capital Holdings. She is instrumental in developing and executing sales and branding strategies, including all aspects of Elysian’s social media, digital webinars and brand content.
With over 18 years of sales experience, Kelly possess vast experience in the financial services industry. After working retail throughout her college years, she began her professional career at Transamerica Capital, Inc. as a Senior Internal Wholesaler and later as an Assistant Vice President and Mutual Fund Sales Desk Manager, Regional Sales Representative, and finally, as a Vice President and Business Development Manager. She later joined Vertical Capital Markets Group, LLC as a Vice President and Business Development Officer. Through the years, Kelly has become proficient in building brand awareness and product education through webinars, speaking at conferences and building relationships.
